“Terror of the Autons” holds a lot of memories for me back when I was a video trader. I would get copies of stories, such as this one, in poor quality and then constantly find new friends with copies of the same story to try and get a better copy. The goal was always to get as good of copies as possible. When “Terror of the Autons” came out in 1993, it was a game changer. This was available in COLOUR and in great quality. I talk about my memories of getting this story, learning about the colour Pertwee episodes and also about the restoration process. I love this aspect of the Doctor Who story! I own every iteration of Doctor Who on PAL VHS released by BBC Video. I recently put my collection back on the shelf and decided to make some videos about each release. These videos are a semi-factual but highly nostalgic look at these stories coming out on VHS plus my journey with the stories as a collector of all things video. I celebrate the different versions, different formats and restoration. I may get some of the facts wrong but just send a note to the e-mail below or in the comments. Also, share your personal experiences with these stories in the comments below. All of us who collected Doctor Who on VHS, probably has some great memories and stories. Please share them! Please share this video and feel free to leave me feedback, positive or constructive. e-mail: feedback@fromthearchive.co.uk Twitter is @fromthearchive Podcast: Subscribe to us on iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/f...
