In this video, I build an air powered launcher. I'm using it to shoot a rope into trees to help hoist up wire antennas for ham radio use... but it's easily adapted to launch whatever you wish. WARNING, this device is capable of launching a projectile at extreme speeds and distances. If you choose to build a unit for yourself, make certain to choose components that can withstand the air pressure, and adhere to your local laws, etc... DO NOT attempt to build unless you are experienced in proper plastic solvent welding techniques, and make sure you never aim it at people, pets, or anything that can be hurt or damaged !!! By popular request: As described in the "Bill of Materials" section, the barrel (top section) is pressure rated 1-1/4" PVC, and the air chamber (bottom section) is pressure rated 2" PVC. The projectiles are made using 3/4" PVC pipe sections (3 to 4" long each), with matching 3/4" end-caps glued onto each end. 00:00 Intro 01:18 Bill of materials and explanation 06:24 Assembly of threaded air components 07:44 Assembly of solvent bonded (glued) air components 13:42 Discussion on assembly, bracing, next steps 15:06 Brace assembly 17:50 Constructing safety and firing control circuit 20:20 Pressurizing discussion 21:10 Loading projectile 21:29 Test firing, and conclusion Air cannon, Pneumatic cannon, Pneumatic launcher, Air gun, Tennis ball launcher, Tennis ball cannon, T-shirt cannon, Pneumatic gun, Ham radio antenna launcher, Ham Radio, Antenna support, PVC cannon, PVC air gun, PVC air cannon, potato gun, potato cannon, potato launcher, Arborist throw line, throw bag, tree surgeon, tree throw line, Amateur radio
