Since 2014, several faculty members in the School of Human Kinetics and Recreation have utilized LEGO® to facilitate interactive learning, problem-solving, and collaborative skills in courses ranging from anatomy to community development to physiology to physical literacy. Using LEGO® bricks during the workshop, we will share and explore how our LEGO® learning lab came to be, practical strategies for using LEGO® in the classroom, the literature supporting the use of LEGO®, and the benefits of LEGO® based learning.
