Rupal is very famous in Gandhinagar district for its famous palli yatra which held in night at 9th day of Navaratri. Rupal is very beautiful village too, Lets talk about Palli yatra / Palli Mela, Palli yatra is very famous ritual in rupal held in night at 9th day of Navaratri, in this day whole village is looks like new wed bride also with all area of village is decorated with decoration lights too. Palli yatra which started in midnight then travell to whole village and then reach its final destination which is main temple, vardayini mata temple which located at main highway. In this day palli rath which have 5 big diyas firing and then Abhishek of tones of pure ghee over thare after reaching of main temple whole Valmiki samaj people collect ghee which lying at floor and process for using. One amazing fact about that after abhishek of ghee if you and your cloths are dirty with ghee you can wash with normal water and its cleaned like not become dirty. Main story of palli yatra Palli yatra is continuing from dwaparyuga when Pandavas are in agyat vas they hides thare weapons near the tree called as Varkhadi and make worship to mata vardayini to secure thair weapens and identity to others for 1 year, after comple 1 year of agyat vas they collect thair weapons and take blessings of mata vardayini for vijayshree(victry) in Kurukshetra war. After victory of war they make temple and started palli yatra with 1st palli rath is made from gold. As this continues this ritual and become a spectial day for rupal peoples In this occasion lacs of people come to experience the thrill of this amazing moment when palli rath enters in temple, at this time mata is laughing which can listen by people who in temple. In this occasion also very big mela also celebrated. In this occasion no one people slept all are waked. In this mela contains. . . . . . 1. Books store 2. Food stalls 3. Variable stores 4.
