This is an alpha version of Worldspace Transition Tweaks - Skyrim/Solstheim. In this video, I swim to Solstheim, from Skyrim. I copied all of Solstheim into Skyrim and added a "pseudo-load door" at the borders, which will teleport you to the other relevant worldspace, in this case Solstheim. As it's an alpha, it's still quite buggy, as you can see, unfortunately. FAQ Q: Does it still have a loading screen when travelling across? Why? A: Yes, it does. I can't actually make Solstheim accessible in the Skyrim worldspace, due to an engine limit of 128x128 cells. If you go beyond that point, interacting with things like activation, dialogue, hitting with weapons and spells - will no longer work if you are outside the safe zone and facing away from the world origin. (edit: thanks to Thingy Person on the Beyond Skyrim Discord for correcting me on this. As such I have changed the explanation.) Q: What's this "pseudo-load door"? A: It's a bit technical. It's basically a triggerbox, which upon entering teleports the player and any nearby actors to the corresponding bordering worldspace. I had to use this approach, since the standard load doors are too small and awkardly shaped to properly connect large open spaces like this. This pseudo-load door will be released as a modder's resource, so it can be used in other projects, similar to this one. Q: Are there any requirements? A: You will need to disable the default borders, in the INI. (I might include this upon release) In addition, you'll need xLodgen to generate Terrain LOD and Occlusion and DynDOLOD for the other LOD, namely trees and objects. Q: Solstheim looks a bit too close to Skyrim. A: I had a similar impression when I first looked at it. However, looking at lore maps, the distance seems to correct. It's probably because we aren't used to see Solstheim from Skyrim and as such, assume it's further away. Q: Release date? A: Soon™. When it's done. Q: Will this be available on consoles? A: I myself won't port it, as I do not own a console and as such I would be unable to test it. However, I do give permission for anyone else to do so.
