Appu is one enthusiastic Yogic calf. When he is not meditating and taking flight outside his body, he is learning something or the other. That's how he builds his world wider. He is all ears to new things and he's always ready to jump in and learn. Thanks to Neena and Tiger, they bring him things that get him all curious about things humans do. Especially how they can see their names being written... Names are not only called out, but etched for people to see. Something animals don't do. The thrill of learning to write your own name has no parallels. Line by line, curve by curve, letter by letter you etch your own name in your notebook. Now what would you call that? Magic? Appu thinks it's magic too. He loves every bit of writing his name. He writes it down and spells it out everywhere he goes. Reading and writing is a magical experience. This is one of the things that Appu is extremely curious about all set to explore. What about his friends? They don't think it's that important. They look at it as some sort of a joke. They brush off Appu's efforts. What in the animal world could possibly get King Lee, Queen Lee, Igress, Stretchy and Tiger interested in learning to write their names? They are too stubborn about learning... Hmm... Appu should be able to talk his friends into joining him. How will he do it. Convincing them cannot be a piece of cake. They are horribly set in their ways. This Yogic calf has a lot to do to change their minds. He needs to demonstrate the value of learning to read. It's more than just recognizing the letters. They all mean something when they're put together. How would Appu put this across to his group of wild friends? Will Neena be of any help? Will she assist the other animals in learning to read just as she helped out Appu? She certainly could. She's the one who goes to school in the whole group. She has shown to be extremely resourceful in the past too. She would do anything for her group of animal friends. Although she does have a homework time and a whole lot of other things that she has to do. Babysit her brother for a couple of minutes for her parents. Help them out with things she can... When it's play time or homework time there is no question of being with friends. She's out there to have fun and learn. So is Appu. He learns to write his name, and he's super excited about it.
