GIOVANNI SORDO BAROLO 2017 - Museum Collection Tasting Part 1 We recently revisited the stellar 2017 vintage, and all of Sordo’s wines looked fabulous! They are pure and expressive of their respective vineyards. And talking about vineyards, the Sordo family boasts the most extensive number of individual MGA (Cru) bottlings in Barolo; 8 Cru so far! Each wine is made identically, taking an essentially traditional view on winemaking – generally up to 7 weeks of maceration and two years in very large wood. This approach allows each Cru’s uniqueness to shine through. In the first video, David explores the differences between Barolo Classico, Monvigliero Cru (Verduno), and Ravera Cru (Novello).
