Leaving the gas station behind, the drive toward Abha takes a quick, unexpected turn. In this part of the journey, I take a detour off the main highway to hunt down some local farms and palm plantations. Instead of lush farms, I find locked gates, abandoned spots, and eventually walk out into a massive, barren landscape covered entirely in sharp black rocks. After exploring the dead ends, I manage to navigate back to the original highway to continue the route south. This is a raw, immersive travel diary. There is no background music, just the natural audio of the engine, the wind, and the tires as we navigate the Saudi Arabian landscape. The sun isn't down yet, and the drive continues in Part 7.
