Harris Tweed is an incredible fabric, possibly my favorite of all time. First off, it's wool. Gorgeous, fire resistant, moisture wicking, insulating, ani-microbial, hard-wearing wool with a depth of color that truly has to be seen to be understood. Combine all that with the fact this fabric was so popular that it required an act of Parliament to prevent counterfeit fabric from sullying its reputation. Mades in the outer Hebrides region of Scotland by individual weavers. In this video I give a brief history of Harris Tweed and the allure of this legendary fabric.
