Cruise Day 2: Nassau Bahamas Day @ Atlantis | Carnival Freedom | Aquaventure Waterpark

First time cruising can be quite a challenge, but we are here to help you plan out the perfect ‪@Carnival‬ Cruise! In this video, we sailed on the Carnival Freedom to our first port of call- Nassau, Bahamas. The Bahamas are located just off the shore of Florida and are a very popular destination on Caribbean cruises. Now let’s get to the main attraction- Atlantis Paradise Island Resort. We took a taxi from the cruise port directly to ‪@AtlantisBahamasOfficial‬. There was an option to purchase Atlantis as an excursion through the Cruise ship directly, however we opted to purchase a day pass through Atlantis Directly. Once at the resort we checked in and decided to explore the main lobby. It was breathtaking! The lobby featured extensive murals and water fountains. On the lower level there was access to the Dig. The Dig is the archeological site of the lost city of Atlantis. A city fabled to have been built out of love. This is a remnant of a long-lost 11,000-year-old continent, and highly advanced civilization. What remains now is a glimpse of life in the fabled city of Atlantis. Now we enter the diving bell room, Atlantian divers used these suits and technology to descend to the darkest depths of the ocean. A small glance into life of this mysterious utopian kingdom. Famed for having been the exhibit of all worldly pleasures in the world, this city is as enigmatic as it is inviting. According to mythological accounts, the city of Atlantis fell due to anger and a night of fire and earthquakes led to the city being drowned. Next we decided to check out the beach. The seas were rough, so during our trip, the beach was not open for swimming. It was so hot out so we decided to grab a refreshing drink out of a pineapple. Aquaventure is a Waterpark within the resort. It is made up of pools, slides, splash pads and a rapid river. The Leap of faith waterslide goes through a Mayan ruin and through a tank of nurse sharks. We loved the tube slide that went through the predator tanks. One of the coolest features of the Waterpark! Overall, we had a fabulous time at Atlantis!!
