This area aims to become a new economic hub in Asia. Located 100 kilometers north of Manila, the project plans to accommodate up to 1.2 million people. Phase 1, which cost $14 billion and includes government offices and a first-class sports village, was completed last year. The total cost of the project is expected to reach $60 billion, funded by both the government and private companies over several decades. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has introduced the "Build Better More" infrastructure agenda, which builds on the previous administration's "Build, Build, Build" program. These initiatives are the centerpiece of the Philippine government’s strategy to improve infrastructure. The goal is to close the long-standing infrastructure gap, which has contributed to high business costs and limited growth. The program also seeks to attract investments, create jobs, boost economic growth, and improve living standards across the country. When finished, these projects will benefit the Philippine economy and everyday citizens. Improved infrastructure services will lower business costs, attract more investment, and increase productivity nationwide.
