On this Second Sunday of Lent (Year A, 2026), we reflect on the theme: The Vocation of Abraham and the Vocation of the Christian. God called Abraham to leave everything and trust Him. Abraham obeyed, even without knowing where he was going. In the Gospel, Jesus is transfigured on the mountain, and God says, “Listen to Him.” St. Paul also encourages us not to be afraid of suffering for the Gospel. Lent is not only about giving up things. It is about answering God’s call and walking with Jesus in faith. Like Abraham, we are called to trust God. Like the disciples, we must listen to Jesus. Like St. Paul, we must be courageous.
