I haven't been posting because I haven't had any new bats in care to post about. This may not sound like much but for bat carers it generally means that there is heaps of flowering out there and flying-foxes are staying high in the trees and away from humans and our hazards. South East Queensland has always attracted large numbers of flying-foxes during the winter months due to our copious widespread flowering and this year has been a bumper season with all sorts of species producing lots of glorious nectar and pollen. With this winter being the first real break we've had in four years, I for one am enjoying the peace and getting ready for the season ahead which starts around October. www.facebook.com/BatzillatheBat/
