The program's primary goal is to increase the number of underrepresented minorities in healthcare fields. The two-week academy, offered in partnership with Gwinnett County Public Schools’ Berkmar and Meadowcreek high schools, included interactive labs, simulations, field trips, discussions with guest lecturers, advice on applying to college and health professional programs, and more. The Office of Diversity and Community Partnerships at PCOM Georgia coordinates various community outreach, diversity and inclusion programs and initiatives throughout the year.
