Strap in and blast off on this launched Intamin SLC, inspired by Volcano: The Blast Coaster at Kings Dominion. You’ll twist over, under, and through a volcano, including a near miss with your feet dangling just inches above a magma chamber. The layout was originally made in a few hours for intim305’s weekly NL2 contest a few months ago, and I’ve slowly been working on making the scenery since then. The design challenge for the contest was to make a coaster that only rotates in one direction. This ride only rotates counter-clockwise and features the iconic heartline rolls featured on other Intamin inverts. I wanted the scenery to feel like something out of RCT2, with the multi-colored track, fantasy-ish theming, and the peep pack by CGW.
