Earlier this year a grass/brush fire broke out south of Brandon that bordered Brandon Fire & Emergency Services and Oakland/Wawanesa Fire Department's area, which brought both fire services to the scene. In this video, you can see Brandon's #15 Pump, Cougar, Ambulance 2-3 and 3/4 Ton responding, and Oakland/Wawanesa's Unit #5 (brush unit), Unit #1 (pumper), Unit #2 (rescue), Unit #3 pulling Unit #7 (brush unit pulling Technical Rescue trailer which houses side-by-side brush unit), Unit #4 (tanker) and a firefighter's personal truck. The fire was in a hard to reach area of relatively dense brush that forced fire crews to stay on scene for a number of hours. No structures were lost and no injuries occurred. Thanks to all the firefighters for the siren usage and waves!
