I have loved this one from the day I first found it! It is simple, and fun, and has a great rhythm! I don't know why I have always given the narrator a vaguely (and not very... okay, not at all authentic) french accent, but that is how it has always sounded in my head. What do you think? How would you make the narrator sound? A video read aloud is never quite the same as gathering together on the story rug in our classroom, but with some of us learning at home, and all of us practicing social distancing and wearing masks, youtube read alouds let us keep sharing stories together as we start or finish our art lessons, and I am very appreciative of that! I hope you enjoy my read-aloud of this lovely book!
