Age of Sail by John Kahrs presented at Google Spotlight Stories in Annecy Film Festval. Set on the open ocean in 1900, Age of Sail is the story of William Avery (voiced by Ian McShane), an old sailor adrift and alone in the North Atlantic. When Avery reluctantly rescues Lara, who has mysteriously fallen overboard, he finds redemption and hope in his darkest hours. 👀 ABOUT THE VIDEO INTERVIEW: Age of Sail had a virtual reality preview session at VR@Annecy located at Salle de Création @ Bonlieu Google Spotlight Stories will also be sharing a preview of director John Kahrs’ project, AGE OF SAIL, which is being made with Chromosphere (whom Kahrs previously work with on his Lyft short, JUNE, and Google previously worked with on their Spotlight Story, SONARIA). AGE OF SAIL is produced by Gennie Rim (duet, June, Dear Basketball) and David Eisenmann (Pearl, Son of Jaguar) and executive produced by Karen Dufilho. Age of Sail is their longest, most visually complex experience to date and includes production design by Celine Desrumaux and technical supervision by Cassidy Curtis. 🎬 ABOUT JOHN KAHRS John Kahrs (born 1967/1968) is an American animator and film director. Kahrs attended NSCAD University, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1990. He began his career at Blue Sky Studios in New York, where he worked as an animator between 1990 and 1997. He later moved to Pixar, where he worked on such films as A Bug's Life, The Incredibles, and Ratatouille. After ten years at Pixar, he moved over to Disney, where he animated on Bolt, Wreck-It Ralph and Frozen, and was an animation supervisor on Tangled. In 2013, he won an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film for his 2012 short film, Paperman. In August 2013, he left Walt Disney Animation Studios to develop his own projects.[6] In January 2014, it was reported that he will direct for Paramount Animation an animated film Shedd.[7] 🔵 WHAT IS DESSIGNARE.com?
