No matter how cold the winter, spring always comes. That time of freezing and bundling up, those days of looking out at the dull grey sleeping sky wondering when something warm will come- or those moments of marveling at the endless landscape of snowy white giving thanks that something so white and pure can cover the earth across such an expanse- rumination, reflections, refinement - all culminate in the great return of green and sunshine that is spring. As equinox approaches I'd like to treat you all to the first installment of "North Star Knights." This winter was an incredibly transformational time for me. I flew back and forth from Australia, New Zealand, and the states 7 times. The transition from sunny days at the beach and freezing northern nights taught me so much about opposites and duality. The fire and the freezing. The darkness and the light. No matter how far I roam, the cities of the North always beckon me home. These lessons came together as a 9 song EP recorded live over 3 nights in the freezing city of Minneapolis. This song "Shine on Me" is dedicated to the flowering of Spring. To the birds and the bees. To the infinite life source that exists beyond any amount of cold and darkness to rise again with the sun and birth the new life that is spring. This is the story of the North Star Knights.
