Traffic is held by police as a large mining excavator is transported to a quarry in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, UK. Multiple police cars and motorcycles escorted the abnormal load. A Volvo EC950F crawler excavator (95 tonnes) was transported to Barnhill Quarry in the Forest of Dean. Due to being 4.5 metres wide, a police escort was required to stop traffic from coming head on with the 140 tonne transport on rural roads. Searle Group provided a Volvo FH to transport the KKB owned mining machine. Gloucestershire Police escorted the wide vehicle using their Audi A6 and Volvo XC60 traffic cars, and several BMW R1200 motorcycles to leap frog the convoy. InterCounty Pilots also provided a Vauxhall Movano escort van.
