He is best known for the Laffer curve, an economic theory that suggests governments can cut taxes and simultaneously increase revenue and economic growth. He was an economic advisor during Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and, in 2019, Trump awarded Laffer the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
