Aconcagua expedition, Polish Traverse 360, Aconcagua Mountain Guides

Come along on the journey of six university students with very little climbing experience as they take on the challenge of the Aconcagua Polish Traverse. The highest peak outside of the Himalayas makes Aconcagua the highest mountain in the Western Hemisphere and higher than all mountains in Europe. This documentary was made by stitching together clips from a GoPro 9 purchased on the way to the airport. The theme of very little climbing experience carries over to the filming as well. The clips used are from a novice filming for the first time. The film may come across as a little rough around the edges in the beginning; but the viewer will be rewarded as they continue to watch as the film becomes more polished, as, with the climbing, more experience is gained as the expedition unfolds. One goal of this film is to communicate an understanding of the Polish Traverse route. Unlike the Normal Route which is an up and back route, starting and ending at the same location. The less traveled, more isolated, and longer Polish Traverse starts to the East of Aconcagua and finishes down the descent of the Normal Route; overall offering a wider variety of terrain and scenery.
