This wind band arrangement is by Jun’ichi Tanaka. Fairy tales are the cornerstones of children’s ideology, representing innocence and hope. However, they are outgrown and are replaced by a sense of jadedness and despair as one goes about in life. Hailed as Wong’s most successful song to date, this song serves to convey to grown-ups not only the importance of believing in fairy tales as it can reinstate our sense of faith in the future, but also to deliver the message that we are the creators of our destiny with the power to determine our own “Happily Ever After”.
