Director’s Statement: The Chat explores the humor and absurdity of these moments—when words fail, misunderstandings escalate, and the simple act of talking takes on a life of its own. I wanted to create a film that captures the raw spontaneity of human interaction. By embracing improvisation, we allowed the actors to shape the dialogue organically, leaning into the chaos and comedy that emerge when people try to connect but miss the mark. This approach gave the story an authenticity and unpredictability that mirrors real-life conversations, where misunderstandings often lead to hilarity.
