Genesis 15 takes us to one of the most breathtaking moments in all of Scripture—when God, the Creator of heaven and earth, makes an unbreakable covenant with Abram and seals it in blood. In this sacred chapter, we see the gospel in seed form: God promises what only He can provide—righteousness and blessing—and guarantees it not by Abram’s obedience, but by His own sacrifice. In a mysterious and solemn ceremony, God alone walks through the pieces of a blood sacrifice, declaring that He Himself will bear the curse if the covenant is broken. This moment points forward to the cross, where Jesus Christ shed His blood to fulfill God's promise and secure eternal blessings for all who trust in Him. Come ready to behold the faithfulness of our covenant-keeping God—and to remember that what He began with Abram, He has fulfilled in Christ for you. Soli Deo Gloria! Big Idea: The God who walked through blood for Abram shed His blood for us—by faith, righteousness and blessings can be yours. 1. Faith receives what it cannot earn 2.
