There's a direct link between accepting help and being gentle in spirit. Then John 13 seals it. At the Last Supper, when Jesus revealed that someone would betray him, only one disciple received the insight — the one who was physically leaning on Jesus. Dependence is access. Leaning on him is the position that unlocks everything. Prayer of the season: Lord, guide me. Not the diamond of the season — the prayer. You are variable. The Holy Spirit is not. Isn't that nice?
