Special Thanks to Puta de mòrt :D Languedocien is an Occitan dialect spoken in rural areas of southern France like Languedoc, Rouergue, Quercy, Agenais, and Southern Périgord. It is a basis for Standard Occitan due to its central position among Occitan dialects. Around 10% of Languedoc's population is fluent in Languedocien, with an additional 20% having some understanding of the language. Gascon, on the other hand, is an Occitan variety spoken mainly in Gascony, France. It's considered a variety of Occitan by some and a distinct language by others. Gascon is spoken in Gascony, Béarn, and parts of Catalonia, with Aranese being a southern Gascon variety spoken alongside Catalan and Spanish in Catalonia.
