Aloha BrewTube: In this Episode of DJs BrewTube I review Maui Brewing Co. Lorenzini Double IPA. Maui Brewing Co. Lorenzini Double IPA is as the name suggests a DIPA and it clocks in at 7.6% ABV. Maui Brewing Co. describes Lorenzini Double IPA as follows: "Double IPA with Tangerine & Blood Oranges and Maui cane sugar. The deep red hue is a result of the blood orange juice and specialty malts. The unique hop profile is made up of Azacca, El Dorado and Sorachi Ace. This beer is delightfully bitter and aromatic with noes of tropical fruit and, of course, orange." This description sounds quite nice. Hope you enjoy the review video, my written review and report card follows: Maui Brewing Co. Lorenzini Double IPA WRITTEN REVIEW: A - Maui Brewing Co. Lorenzini Double IPA pours a clear amber hue with a one finger head that leaves nice lacing and a thin ring of bobbles at the edge of the glass. Alcohol legs cling to the glass when the beer is swirled. S - After being greeted by very juicy grapefruit, hop notes like citrus, and other tropical fruits mixed with pine round out the nose. Is a mixture of big bright citrus flavor and sweet tropical fruits paired very well with a mild dank undertone. No alcohol is detectable in the aroma. T - Taste follows the nose to a (T). Is a mixture of big bright citrus and sweet tropical fruits paired very well with a mild dank undertone. The alcohol is also totally hidden in this brew. M - Mouthfeel is medium, crisp, refreshing with smooth carbonation. The beer goes down easy. O - Maui Brewing Co. Lorenzini Double IPA is a well made citrus forward and fairly hoppy DIPA. Though it clocks in at 80 IBUs it is balanced enough to be easy to drink. This coupled with unstoppable citrus presence make it adjunct forward variant of a DIPA. Maui Brewing Co. Lorenzini Double IPA is a beer that I will drink again and recommend. Maui Brewing Co.
