We are honoured to host Pieter Madibuseng Odendaal and Jorge Alejandro Ccoyllurpuma at The Red Wheelbarrow Poetry Collective on 20 November 2025. Pieter Madibuseng Odendaal is a poet, playwright, translator and musician. His first two Afrikaans collections have received numerous literary awards. Odendaal's English collection a corpse is also a garden was published by Uhlanga Press in 2025 and his debut spoken word album "Ontaard" also appeared this year. In 2024, Odendaal was named one of the Mail & Guardian’s 200 Young South Africans. Jorge Alejandro Ccoyllurpuma (Cusco, Peru) is a poet, translator, and South–South intercultural facilitator. His artistic and professional work is deeply tied to the promotion and revitalization of Indigenous languages from the Global South. He directs Chiri Uchu TXT, a literary translation and intercultural company. His poetry explores memory, the body, and belonging from a contemporary Andean perspective. He will soon debut in English in South Africa with The Blue Sky Sword of Your Body, translated by poet Pieter Madibuseng Odendaal. Hosted by Jacques Coetzee and Eduard Burle.
