There’s a power in the world: the most powerful force there is - and it could be an evil force. But it can also be the biggest force for good. That force: multinational business. Colin Mayer explains his vision for how business can and must transform itself and its impact on the world. Colin is currently the Peter Moores Professor of Management Studies at the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford and the first Director of the Oxford Financial Research Centre between 1998 and 2005. His research interests include corporate finance, governance, regulation and taxation. He has worked on international comparisons of financial systems and corporate governance and their effects on the financing and control of corporations. Colin has been a fellow at Harvard University and the Bank of England and has had visiting positions at Université de Bruxelles, Columbia, MIT and Stanford universities. He has consulted for numerous large corporations and for governments, regulators and international agencies around the world and was the chairman of Oxera Ltd. one of the largest independent economics consultancies in Europe.
