Alien Skin Snap Art software can transform photos into beautiful painting. I quite like the Oil Paint Impasto & Crayon painting. A 20 secs video with a frame rate of 25 will have 500 photos in it. In this 4 mins long video(exclude the actual video), I have to convert more than 6000 photos into paintings. Fortunately, Snap Art software does the job for me, but this still takes time to convert; About 20 mins to convert 500 photos. I quite like Snap Art; It is fast and hazzle-free during the conversion in Lightroom; I didn't experience any error or hang-up which would have made me frustrated. I split up the video into segments of 20 secs. Convert each 20 secs segment into 500 pierces of painting and then edit into a 20 secs mp4 video. So, I have to do this 15 times to make a 4 mins video! It's a bit tedious. I spent many hours fumbling during video making; It's trial & error; I know nothing about video making. Just picked up some tips from Youtube. I guess there are more efficient way of doing it, but it's ok, I am not professional afterall. I feel delighted in watching the finished product. One thing to take note of is, u won't see exactly the same pierce of painting rendered nicely by Snap Art in this video. The details, color vibrancy & texture in this video cannot compared to the actual painting itself. This could be due to the nature of frame rate which is 25 frame per sec; Each time u press 'Pause' it could be more than 2 frames superimposed at that moment, so u get a blurry result from this (I personally guess so. I could be wrong). Youtube file compression will further degrade the image. I am sorry to say this, I don't really like to watch this video in Youtube; A lot of the detail is being lost, making it looks blotchy. The problem is worse when it comes to black & white pencil sketching; Many of the sketching lines are being lost in this Youtube video; All are blurry. My original video doesn't look like that. The full vibrancy & detail of the painting has to be viewed in a single image, not in video. That's the conclusion I made. Watch it in 1080 if you can. Anyway, I still derive pleasure from transforming a video into something different.
