At the premiere of The Faithful: Women of the Bible, executive producer René Echevarria discusses the joy of shifting the Old Testament lens away from spectacle and toward the intimate, emotional lives of its women. Rather than focusing on battles and “guy stuff,” Echevarria explains how the series zeroes in on Sarah’s marriage and her deeply relatable struggle with infertility.
