Speaking from India, the Awami League President alleged that the polls were an 'exercise in industrial scale administrative manipulation and numerical fraud' under the current interim administration. While the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) led by Tarique Rahman secured a sweeping victory, Hasina claimed the process robbed 180 million people of their voting rights and demanded the election be annulled. Conversely, reports indicate over 7 crore voters participated, with the BNP now preparing to form the next government.
