Before Emmanuel was seen by human eyes, before He was held in loving arms, He was recognized. In this Christmas reflection, we meditate on Saint Elizabeth, the first person to proclaim the hidden presence of Emmanuel — God with us — while He was still in the womb of the Virgin Mary. Filled with the Holy Spirit, Saint Elizabeth recognized the Lord not by sight, but by faith. Her witness completes the sacred circle of those who encountered Emmanuel in His hidden and infant life: the Virgin Mary, Saint Joseph, Saint John the Baptist, Saint Simeon, and Saint Anna the Prophetess. This video is part of a Christmas series reflecting on the saints who recognized Emmanuel at the beginning of His earthly life.
