A few days ago i decided to buy a new Xiaomy electric scooter. We already have the Xiaomi 1s scooter, with a total mileage 2392 Km (1485 miles). Never had an issue with it (only had to buy solid tires (tyres? :) to avoid punctures. i watched hours of videos on youtube and i couldnt find a single battery drain test for the Xiaomi Electric scooter 5 normal (not pro). First i bought the Xiaomi Electric scooter 4, normal one, but wasn't happy with the range (around 17 km / 10 miles from full to 10-15%, using only S mode, on nice weather around 15 degrees Celsius / 60 F). So i returned it and decided to go for the new one, the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5, non pro/ normal one. With this one i did 3 tests in total and im getting around 25 Km or 15 miles using only S mode, on nice weather around 15 degrees Celsius / 60 F), very light wind. My weight is 80 KG or around 176 Pound. Few impressions: The turn indicators are almost useless for me. They cant be seen from behind and i wouldnt trust to turn left or right without looking for cars bikes or pedestrians. Pretty heavy, 20 kg / 44 pounds. Suspension is nice and balanced for my weight. Very strong: on their website they say the motor can produce max 700W and its rated 350W. With full battery in app i saw 950 w often. I tested this starting from zero. At 89% battery i saw 915 W. 80% battery peak power 891 W. 60% - 813 W top. 50% i saw 845 W top, no idea why, maybe it was inclined ? Dont remember :) 40% in app shows 827 W peak. At 20% it was still able to pull 808 W- very happy to see that! At 11% 484 W. Total distance traveled at 11%- 26.4 km or 16.4 miles, average speed 19.5 km/h or 12.1 mph. Almost all types of inclines and terrains were easily dealt with. At no point i felt it is underpowered, uncomfortable or sketchy. Hope this video helps some people decide for themselves, but for me, this one does the trick.
