LT230 Transfer Case Spud Shaft & Engine In! × 4BT Cummins Discovery #18 [Land Rover Build]

No potatoes were harmed in the making of this video, some metal was! Here I'm "divorcing" the LT230 transfer case with the help of machinist friend. And thankfully so, because otherwise there'd be a lot more fail in this video haha! Building this "spud shaft" links the transmission to the transfer case via a single u-joint, so the transfer case can be rotated how ever I want for optimal front/rear driveshaft angles AND maximizing ground clearance. All while keeping the length of the drivetrain as short as possible! ~ PART#18 in a project dubbed "Nanuuq" to swap out my lifted Land Rover Discovery 2's blown 4.0L V8 & boring ZF auto for a Cummins 4BT 3.9L turbo (Holset Super HX30W) diesel 4-cylinder engine (Bosch P7100 pump) with an NV4500 5-speed manual transmission. The AWD 4x4 will remain with the LT230 transfer case divorced behind it all, & plenty of Dodge 6BT parts too.
