Staad Pro is a structural analysis and design software is being used across the world. Most Engineers using this for steel structure analysis and design. I am also using this for steel structure analysis and design. In this video tutorial series you will learn how to do a complete multistoried (5 storied) steel structure analysis and design using Staad Pro V8i software. Any kind of steel structure including shed building, multistoried, truss roof, haunch rafter can be designed using this program. I have used build up section for Column and beam. If you have hot rolled section then you can use from the available member size in the list. In this video you will learn how to define and assign Wind and Earthquake load in Multistoried structure in staad pro V8i. Lateral load is one of the most important load for multistoried structure. I have shown here how to assign earthquake load using floor weight. I have shown using UBC94 code. You have to assign as per your local code. Then I have assigned the wind load as per the same code. Wind load need to calculate by your own as per your local code then assign them on the four side of the structure. I have shown how to assign in the four sides.
