I recently flew from San Francisco (SFO) to Cancún (CUN) with a layover in Detroit (DTW), and it was a total tale of two flights. The first leg to Detroit was suspiciously quiet—the plane was half-empty, and I couldn't figure out why until we started our descent. Seeing the ground buried in snow with a bone-chilling temperature of -10°C, it all made sense! ❄️ The second leg, however, was a completely different story. The plane was 100% full, and the energy was high. I finally understood the obsession as we began our approach into Cancún. As we circled over the coast, I was absolutely amazed by the view of the turquoise sea from the window.
