Hi Everyone…. My channel has recently achieved the 1000 subscribers threshold. I just want to thank all those who have liked, subscribed or just watched the channel. It’s very humbling, thank you 👍 I have always wondered if for DCC, is it necessary to have tens of droppers fitted around a layout. Because if your DC layout is well established and covered with scenery, all those droppers would be a nightmare to fit and damaging to all that lovely scenery. Could it be done using existing DC wiring plus maybe a couple of new droppers for a goods yard for example I also wanted to be able to switch between DC to DCC and back again when required quickly and easily. And also run HM7000 Bluetooth kit as well as other manufacturers DCC fitted kit. In this video I am attempting to re-wire my established DC layout to run on DCC. I make use of readily available push fit connectors, a small DCC bus set up, hornby HM7000 app, a Hornby DCC select controller with HM7000 dongle. These items will allow me to run HM7000 Bluetooth locos but also non Bluetooth locos from any other manufacturer. I make use of the existing four DC power inputs. Fitting the connectors and knocking up a small DCC bus took approximately one hour. To cut a long story short…. It turned out well and works a treat…… Result 👍👍👍
