Comparing the Peavey 6505MH and 5150 amps in a recording setting at Bullet Ride Productions. Amp results are at the bottom of description Rhythm guitars are ESP LTD EC-401B Baritone in B standard into the Peavey 6505 MH (lead channel, 1 watt mode) and Peavey 5150 Block Letter (lead channel) into an Avatar Vintage Custom 4x12 loaded with a Celestion Vintage 30, miced with Shure SM57. Backing guitars are ESP LTD EC-401B Baritone in B standard into the Peavey 6505 MH (lead channel, 1 watt mode) into a Randall Diavlo 1x12 loaded with a Celestion Vintage 30, miced with Shure SM57. The settings were pretty close to the same on both amps. 5150's pots/knobs are a little loose, so spending a little more time with it I may have achieved closer results. I'm sure the totally different power tubes played the biggest factor in sounding different. Bonus info: Bass is a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass. Guitar strings are Ernie Ball 2839 Nickel Wound Baritone Guitar Set (13 -72) AMP A: 6505MH AMP B: 5150 Block Letter
