Description: D'Housemates is Jamaica's newest, highly controversial and much talked about Reality TV Series. The series is hailed for depicting issues of contemporary young-adulthood relevant to its core audience, issues such as sex, prejudice, religion, abortion, illness, sexuality, AIDS, death, politics, and substance abuse, it also shows the extreme levels of immaturity and irresponsible behavior indicative of the declining morals of contemporary youth and our culture. The series producers choose a group of twelve people in their 20s to Mid 30s who are forced to get along with each other while also competing against each other and sticking with the show's rules, they are from different backgrounds, different social skills, conflicting personalities and from various parts of the Jamaica. The series presents their spontaneous, unscripted interactions with one another and an insight to their world. These individuals leave their hometowns behind. But each of these roommates has their own sets of flaws – coming from broken homes, shattered lives, broken relationships, estranged family members, and having very dark secrets. D'HouseMate Eviction Policy: D'Housemates is a program where a housemate is evicted from the residence/House for not adhering to very strict house rules as well as being prevented from moving forward to becoming the winner because of failure to endure extreme pressures and challenges. Participants having difficulty due to lacking social skills are often ridiculed by fellow housemates and as a result are evicted. General House And Show Rules: Participants are not allowed to communicate with the outside world, this includes no access to mobile phones, TV, computers and the internet. They are also restricted from eating during specific periods and are allowed to consume unlimited amounts of alcohol. The Aim: The aim of each participant is to win all the challenges, eventually evict everyone else from the house, win the cash prize and become a reality TV star. But doing so isn't easy, as roommates focus on winning, they some times expose their secrets, their loves, fantasies and their ultimate desire to win at any cost.
