On June 2, 2025, CPKC ran a maintenance-of-way ballast train westbound on the Galt Subdivision, dropping fresh ballast between Toronto, ON and Ayr, ON. The train’s power consisted of two KCS EMD SD70MACs, 3928 and 3937. The train left Toronto around 2 p.m. and went west to Guelph Junction. It sat there for about an hour. This gave me the chance to get ahead of it, and just as I got there, they were leaving. The train was restricted to 10 miles an hour as they dropped Ballast between mile 42 mile and mile 65 before calling it a day. Lots of Railfans and train enthusiasts were out for this train. I was able to catch it at three locations. I hope you guys enjoy this video 😀 Taken on: Monday, June 2, 2025 Timestamps 0:00 - CPKC (3-WGA) Ballast train at Mile 40.65 4:46 - CPKC (3-WGA) Ballast train at Mile 40.65 9:23 - CPKC (3-WGA) Ballast train at Mile 40.65 12:56 - Pictures and thanks for watching :) Train info ID: CPKC 3-WGA-02 Direction: Westbound Origin: Toronto, ON (CPKC Agincourt Yard) Destination: Ayr, ON Power: KCS EMD SD70MAC 3928 And KCS EMD SD70MAC 3937 Pulling 60 loaded Herzog cars Thanks for watching!
