Today at 12 PM UN and International delegates have arrived at khawarbill (Kyi Gan Pyin) village of Maungdaw. During the visit military arrested and stopped 3 Rohingyas deliberately to meet the delegates. And were released later when women shouted in front of the delegates During their 40 minute visit at Khawarbill (Kyi Gan Pyin) Rohingyas explained the ongoing atrocities on them and raised the needs of humanitarian aids in the region. Later at 2PM delegates arrived at Wa Peik Village of Maungdaw. There the Hindus acting as Rohingyas told the UN team nothing happened to them. Earlier military at Wa Peik have already restricted the local villagers to enter their own village, where local Hindus were trained by authorities as Rohingya & are being shown to visiting UN & foreign officials as real victims. Moreover Burmese Army stationed at PyaungPaik (Haant Gojja Fara), a hamlet which had entirely been razed, by ousting all its people yesterday evening as an advance move to trick the visiting UN team in Maungdaw. And they have threatened Rohingya villagers of NgaSarKyu (Naasha Furu), PyaungPaik (Haant Gojja Fara), OoShyeKya (Bura Shiddha Fara) not to meet with the UN team since yesterday evening. Rohingyas in other destructed villages of Maungdaw are also waiting eagerly for their arrival and are worried about the military propaganda. Further details of the visit are still unknown. ---------------------------------------------------------- During the raids yesterday by 250 army in 3 Rohingya villages: SinThaePyin, ZaydiPyin, PanMyaung in N. Maungdaw, approx 30 Rohingyas were arrested. Tortures of Rohingya civilians & plundering properties by army were immense. Arrestees being locked-up in the village's school Locals said screaming voices of women & children were heard even outside their villages. The army raided from 6 AM to noon. Moreover they torched a pile of trashes & shot its video in 'SinThaePyin' village. They also shot the videos of Rohingya civilians fleeing from homes due to the raids. It looks like the Burmese army is trying to stage a fake event & perception like 'Rohingya burn their own homes & flee.' -------------------------------------------------------------- Burmese armed forces such as the Military and the Border Guard Police have begun to commit serious crimes against the Rohingya civilians in Maungdaw since October 9 on pretext of crackdowns on the alleged militants in the region. The rape against the Rohingya women including minors is among the serious crimes that have been frequently committed. The Burmese armed forces especially the military use the rape against the Rohingya women and the women of other ethnic minorities as a weapon of war to traumatize and humiliate the Rohingya community.
