#news #police #arrest #cops Report: On 06/21/2022, Officers responded to St. Mary's Hospital in reference to a battery that already occurred on that property it and the security guard The room has a camera inside of that was working stated that they both saw a female inside of the room slapping the male over and over again in front of their one-year- old child. Upon arrival, officer met with the security guard, who reiterated what the caller had previously told central communications that he witnessed via the camera footage the female slapping the male 5 times on the head in front of their child. A nurse also corroborated this statement The security guard stated that he could not replay the video footage for the officer without a warrant so the officer was not able to watch the actual footage. officers gathered all of the information for the male, female, and the child and then met with the family. Officers knocked on the door where the family was waiting and asked to speak with the female outside of the room. The suspect stated that she and her current husband who are going through a divorce were sitting in the room together with their child when he got a phone call from a different woman. The suspect got upset about this and open hand slapped the husband five times on the head. The officer asked the suspect if this had ever happened before and she said this was the first time that she had laid hands on him and that she did it because she got really mad and had a lot going on right now. The officer asked the suspect to stand outside of the room with another officer while the officer went inside the room to speak with the husband. The officer went inside of the room and met with the husband to ask him about what occurred inside of the room. The husbands story was exactly the same as the suspects in that she got upset about what she saw on his cell phone and began hitting him. The suspect was pretty adamite that he did not want to press charges but the officer explained to him the family violence laws in the state of Georgia. The officer took the time to explain to him about what the next roughly twenty-four house was going to look like for him and his current wife and answered all of the questions that he had.
