Demonstration of tuning capacitor for final tuning. This build liked a 560pf capacitor for C165 and nothing for C211 And as the video shows, adding 47pF capacitor on the very output to ground works well. Testing this on a bench with a Uniden Grant XL, SSB seemed clean and clear. Although my fears may be unfounded, I set the SSB ALC to limit the output to about 50 watts. It can do more, but that will be at the users risk. The X-Bones 2290 board makes this possible. It's a simple board that allows removal of your 2SC2312 finals, ans installation of a 2SC2290 in its place.
