We’re diving into a frantic fortnight as the Build It Right team tackles a trio of major challenges: plumbing, flooring, and making a start at cladding all four walls of Building1 - the logistics hub. First up, Ben and Evan are under plumbing pressure on the hottest day of the year. Watch as they attempt to fit a large sluice cut-off valve that will serve water to the entire site. When the water company tells you to think again, you know you're in for a challenge! Everything that can go wrong does go wrong as they try to align the heavy valve and squeeze in those rubber flanges… or are they gaskets!? Next, it’s a whole team effort to lay down Kingspan's Greenguard floor insulation. This isn't just a job; it’s a giant jigsaw puzzle! After lining the massive warehouse floor with a damp proof membrane, the team precisely constructs the rebar grid—all in preparation for the big concrete pour coming soon. Finally, the freshly hired Clad Boy vacuum sucker is fired up on the Rototilt as the team begins to clad the first gable end of the building. This requires meticulous precision—cutting panels to size with the right pitch, lifting them with the Clad Boy, and aligning them perfectly before fixing them to the steel frame. With the concrete booked and the clock ticking, there's no time to waste. It’s a race against time to get the entire floor prepped and all the wall cladding built right!
