A tuk tuk driver can be hired for about $20+ a day (prices have gone up with more travelers) and this will allow you to get a ride anytime, get your errands done and it is a lot cheaper than buying per trip ($7-$15 per trip). For TukTuk Driver and Water Taxi recommendations, leave a comment below. Scuba Diving There are ample diving sites all around the island and for the most part, the water currents are mild and safe. Some of the diving companies that operate on the island that you may want to consider include: Utila Dive center, Alton’s dive center, Gunter’s ecomarine dive center, and Parrots dive shop. Restaurants The two most recommended places are Mango Tango and El Castillo. Other places to eat include Che Pancho, Mario’s Place, Rio coco Cafe and Hot spot Cafe. Breakfast is usually under $5 and you can have a decent lunch/supper for $10-$15. 0:00 Intro 1:19 Lay of the Land and some basic info 2:09 How to get to Utila 3:45 BONUS TIP! 4:05 What to Pack 5:55 How to get around the island 7:17 Cash Money 8:23 What activities to do 10:31 Safety For more travel tips and details COMMENT BELOW!
