American history is not as clean cut as most might think. Some might look at the history of the United States, and imagine a clear progression and evolution of ideology and policy from founding to modern day, but such is not the case. The United States has seen the rise and fall of political eras, or one might dare even say regimes, during which the country was dominated by one particular party or ideology for decades at a time. Today we discuss the Progressive Era, a period spearheaded by the leadership of President Theodore Roosevelt, and set in motion by the aftermath of the Civil War, and the religious developments which occurred in the antebellum or Democratic/Jacksonian era. This era was defined by Roosevelt and the Progressives crusading against corruption, crime, and other social woes. We watch these policies continue on into America's entry into the Great War, and see a slight return to conservative policy in the aftermath, before momentum built up once again, only to be brought to a crashing halt by the Stock Market Crash of 1929, and, of course, the Great Depression which followed. This is The 7 Ages of America series. We'll be covering Presidents Roosevelt, Taft, Wilson, Harding, Coolidge, and Hoover. _____________________________________________ #AlternateHistory #MonsieurZ #AmericanHistory New Videos Every Saturday At 11:00 AM EST ______________________________________________ Donate on Patreon: / monsieurz Become a Channel Donor: / @monsieurdean ______________________________________________ Website: https://www.USofZ.com/feed ______________________________________________ Music Used:
