In this video I show how I cook Liberian fried fish gravy. Detailed recipe and ingredients listed below. --------------------------------------------------------- Ingredients: 2-3 whole fish, cleaned and cut into threes Old Bay Seasoning Mrs Dash Original Blend (Salt-free) Seasoning Maggi Cube Seasoning Cube Fine sea salt, 1/2 teaspoon Frying Oil ( I used Mazola Canola Oil) 1 large white onion, chopped 2 habanero pepper Tomato paste, 2 tablespoon --------------------------------------------------------- Make sure your fish is washed and clean Add Old Bay and Mrs. Dash seasoning to fish, season to your taste or liking Add 2 cups or oil to frying pan and let oil heat up Add fish to oil, fry fish until brown on each side and thoroughly cooked Chop onion and peppers in a food processor, you can use a blender if you don't have a food processor In a new pot, add 1/2 cup of oil and let oil heat. Once heated add onion and pepper mix. Let onion and pepper mix fry for 5 minutes, stir then add 2 tbsp of tomato paste. Let tomato paste cook with onion and pepper mix for 5 minutes, continue stirring Add 1 cup of water to the gravy, let boil Add Maggi cube seasoning and 1/2 tsp of salt Let gravy simmer for 2-3 minutes then add fish Turn fish around to let fish soak up all the flavor of the gravy, be careful so fish wont break apart Let simmer for 10 minutes, gravy will darken and thicken Serve on top of rice, cassava, potatoes, or with plantain --------------------------------------------------------- Comment below and let me know if you will make this recipe.
