As humans, we are emotional and that is the truth and sometimes we let our emotions take control. You see it everywhere from everyday life all the way to rap stars. Take Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, both queens in the rap industry in their own ways with distinctly different rap styles with similar upbringings. Cardi B, Belcalis Almánzar, is a very famous and popular rapper in the industry. Cardi B had a very poor upcoming, growing up due to the limited opportunities Cardi B's parents were limited to. As an adult, Cardi B resorted to exotic dancing to help her survive, along with being in a very cruel relationship. Amongst all of this Cardi B was focusing on her social media presence on Instagram and Vine, which led Cardi B to get more widespread attention from around the world with her "real" and bold attitude. Cardi B eventually kept working hard at making music to the point that one day Cardi B was invited to be on Love & Hip Hop: New York, where Cardi B grew famous for throwing her shoe at someone... talk about bold. With that happening, Cardi B's social media presence skyrocketed! With all this happening, Cardi B eventually met her soon to be divorcee, Offset from the Migos. Cardi B’s rise to fame all began in 2017 with the release of "Cardi B - Bodak Yellow [OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO]". "Cardi B - Bodak Yellow [OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO]" was proof that women can be rappers but specifically in the trap genre, which is predominantly based around men. There have been multiple women who attempted and are in the rap/trap genre but haven't had anywhere near the same success as Cardi B. The combination of Cardi B's personality, ability to rap and the way she markets herself on social media is what makes her so beloved by all her fans. Cardi B is the definition of real and that anything could happen, this is the reason Cardi B in the eyes of many is the true Queen of rap, stripping that title from self-proclaimed Nicki Minaj. All this stirred up a lot of negativity and beef between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B. So much that at the Met Gala in 2018, they had a very physical altercation that resulted with both Nicki Minaj and Cardi B being escorted out of the Met Gala. Cardi left the event with a big bump on her forehead and Nicki Minaj seemed unscathed. Cardi B recently released "Cardi B - Money [Official Music Video]" since the event and it seems as if it didn't matter. The incident at the Met Gala involving Nicki Minaj is just one of many examples we go over in this video.
